Payload Motor/Blister Pack Integration Testing #2

Closed LornaLan closed 4 years ago

Things need to be done for motor testing:

  1. Test if phase mode works with Arduino, DRV8834 and the stepper motor. (tested to be working with pay-ssm)
  2. If the phase mode works, test see if it provides enough force to pop the blister pack. (previous tests with pay-ssm showed it provided not enough torque)
  3. Test if microstepping mode works with Arduino, DRV8834 and the stepper motor.
  4. If this mode works, see if it provides enough force to pop the blister pack.
  5. If none of the above works, see if there are other motor/driver options.

Hey Cindy! @Cindy471, we will also integrate with the distant sensing platform you build with the motor testing. Please upload the excel file to the team drive and update the link here. Thanks!

Side note from Bruno: need to crimp more wires for both the heaters, thermistors and motors for pay-ssm.

Tested with two motors and the actuation plate today, a few (potential) issues:
