Changes:

removes: shell.nix since we can get default.nix to handle it with inNixShell
adds: justStaticExecutables for executable
adds: docker support
renamed: se to hself and su to hsuper (nitpick)
updates: sources.json with nixos-unstable to get hoogle
adds: niv to sources.json so we get a working version
updates: sources.nix with the new version of niv
rename: cabal file test-suite's main-is to Main.hs and change module name to match (cabal new-test fails otherwise)

Really nice review! You make a lot of good points and I'll need to make a few changes.
