10 months ago to be honest the moter graphing hook just felt good it was fast but had its risk you could get it very early on but it took skill to use without dieing what felt good. any of the other upgrades or the magnet just don't feel the same since the speed is gone but the skill is still needed.
almost anytime there will be a better option than using it since it will just slam you into the ground. or at best make you move slightly faster than running speed but also almost kill you at the same time. the one exception is when using it in an ocean biome when it makes you move very fast and you can't take fall damage because of water.
