The cursor problem is unfortunately a known problem, and a fix is not yet available. #2628 (you seem to have discovered this yourself)
Have you tried switching the Network to Bridge Mode #3033 ? This is in the VM config → Network tab.
As far as the "my macOS desktop (UTM containing multitask window) crash" please attach a screen recording. Thank you.
unfortunately, I can't right now. Removed it... will set it up on external ssd soon tho (memory issues, I'm already low on memory and had to install a heavy application for college purpose) I can describe the cursor issue as, which ever tab(multitask window/desktop#) UTM.app is placed/stays in, the cursor of macOS for that particular tab gets stuck. Non unfunctional unless I switch to another MacOS tab. This occurs while I run win11.
Did not encounter this issue with Ubuntu / Debian / arch .

I think it's the same error. I can't install it because there's no network
@alexgfaria your issue is likely that the network card in use is not compatible with Windows out of the box. Edit your VM to choose a different network card. (like the first choice, e1000e)
Same issue.
@Curtisspope Please save the debug log according to these instructions. Then make a new comment here and attach the log file.
Same issue over here. Please find attached the requested log with the default network adapter (virtue-net-pci) WithDefaultNetworkAdapter.log
With the suggested e1000e I have the same issue, please see this log: Withe1000enetwork.log
Note I have a MacBook Pro M1 16" with a wifi connection. (no network cable attached through dongle)
Hope this helps. Is more data is needed please let me know.
@jvkranenburg Please switch your VM from "Shared" to "Bridged" network. From my experience the "Shared" does not work with Windows guest (but works fine with Linux guest).
If you don't want to use "Bridged" because your host's network device changes frequently, you can also choose "Emulated VLAN" but it might create DNS problems in the Windows guest.
@conath In Bridged mode I have the same issue for both network connectors (virtue-net-pci and e1000e)
Yes I can.
@jvkranenburg I meant to try to access that website inside your Windows VM.
@conath No, because I cannot install Windows 11 as shown in the video from @alexgfaria.
Try pressing Shift + F10 when it wants internet during install and run OOBE\BYPASSNRO it will restart and this time you can click I don't have internet
NOT WORKING WITH YOUR COMMAND OOBE....
you put the wrong \
@PhaseAngle Tnx! That works. After installing Spice network is working as expected!
@PhaseAngle
pressing Shift + F10 does nothing for me :/
@alexgfaria I had to do Shift + fn + F10. Maybe that helps.
I have the same problem
@jvkranenburg I successfully skip the internet check during installation win11. But after installing Spice, the network still not working. Which mode (bridged or shared) and emulated network card you choose?

I used the bridged mode with virtue-net-pci adapter.

here is the solution for the wifi problem https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jPsrI5fS8zc
Running UTM 3.1.5 Mac OS 12.3.1 M1 proc
Not able to get UTM to connect over WiFi. ETH NIC is listed in Device Manager. I've installed spicetools, tried Bridge mode, and still not working.
EDIT: I changed the network setting (VM options with VM powered off) to VLAN emulater mode, and it's now working.
Using a m1 mac on Mac OS 12.4 I have got the windows to open but am completely usure about how to get the wifi working. I have installed spicetools.
Launch normally the windows and mount the spice guest (https://mac.getutm.app/support/) Press Shift + F10 (FN need be press too, if you see mute icon) Now you see a cmd and you have to write: D: [press Enter] spice-guest-tools-0.164.exe [press enter]
An install window will show up, complete the installation and reboot, after this, the network need to work.
You can add name server(DNS) under network then it works. I am not sure why the nameserver was not set up automatically.
@mistercorea this completely solved my issue after searching for an entire week. Thank you so much!

Changing my network interface setting to this one solved to issue for me!
Describe the issue I got my win11 working seriously well, but then I am facing two issues now. "No internet + shared drive ain't working" and the moment I try to plug in a usb drive, my macOS desktop (UTM containing multitask window) crashes, but the virtual machine doesn't nor do any other window of my macOS.
Configuration
Crash log App doesn't crash, my macOS cursor does for the particular multitask window wherever UTM recides.
Anyone else facing such issues? Also, I have tried installing and deleting the Win11 for like 6 times, and I faced these issues everytime. The cursor going invisible issue actually did not occur on my 4th and 6th installation.
