OneDrive files not showing in UTM Windows 11 Virtual Machine #4317

The issue I am experiencing is that when I try to access OneDrive files shared from the mac user folder to the Windows 11 ARM virtual machine, one of the OneDrive folders is showing as blank, as per the attached screenshot. There are files and folders in this OneDrive account, and the files in this OneDrive account are accessible in macOS Finder.

There are three OneDrive folders in the user folder. Three OneDrive folders correspond with one personal OneDrive account and two separate Business OneDrive accounts. The files in one of the Business OneDrive accounts are showing up correctly.

This issue was evident from version 3 UTMs and continues to exist in UTM version 4.

I also tried Parallels, the files and folders in this same OneDrive account that has the noted issue show up correctly in File Explorer in the Parallels virtual machine. (Parallels version 18)

I read online that the issue might be SharePoint related. Howeverwever, it does not explain why files in one of the Business OneDrive accounts are showing correctly.

Has anyone else experienced this? Any solutions? Thanks in advance.

I understand wanting this to work, but the pragmatic option is to connect to OneDrive from within the WindowsVM.

Thank you easp for your reply. Connecting to OneDrive inside the virtual environment was one option I was thinking and following.

I tried the VirtFS option, I could not for some reason install the virtio-win guest tools to install. I was receiving errors "There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected. Contact your support personnel or package vendor." I have enabled testsigning. Any solutions? Thanks

I'm afraid I'm not any help with virtfs. I deleted the mention of it from my reply after I couldn't figure out how to get it to work on my Win 11 install.

Thank you easp for trying. I spent hours trying to work out how to get VirtFS working on Win 11 system. I will rely on your suggestion of connecting to OneDrive for that particular business account in the virtual environment. Hooe there will be some new developments. Thanks.
