BEFORE SUBMITTING YOUR ISSUE, PLEASE LOOK AT THE PINNED ISSUES AND USE THE SEARCH FUNCTION TO MAKE SURE IT IS NOT ALREADY REPORTED. ALWAYS COMMENT ON AN EXISTING ISSUE INSTEAD OF MAKING A NEW ONE.

Describe the issue
It just happened today after the upgrade to the MacOS Sequoia. When you click the share mount points of virtioFS, it says can not display the content because of an unknown file type. However, everything is fine with the terminal! So, I can't use VLC player to browse my media files on my shared directly anymore.

Configuration

Crash log
none

Debug log
No debug error. Maybe it is an Ubuntu issue?

See the attached screenshot for the error:

It works fine before.

Could you check if UTM still has your shared directory configured? I had a similar issue after updating to Sonoma 14.7. For some reason all of my VMs lost the previously configured shared folder and i had to add them again.
