A couple of months ago my Fedora Rawhide VM stopped booting with a Synchronous Exception error after some dnf upgrade.
Last week it also happened after system-upgrading my Fedora 40 VM to Fedora 41 beta.
I am currently unable to boot any Fedora VM on my Macbook PRO M1 and I expect this issue to become prevalent as more people will start using the (broken??) grub update (provided this is what is causing the issue). I haven't yet tried with a fresh install but will do that soon and I will update the ticket when I do.
Between the first issue (with Rawhide) and the second one (with 41 beta) I upgrade my mac to Sequoia, but I don't think that's affecting the issue as it first happened before the macos upgrade.
So, it seems to be a duplicate of #6651, down to the fact that it started working for me again once I removed the only USB drive I had in my config (the CD/DVD).
