10 years ago Octopress hasn't been updated in 3 years, seems like using Jekyll's built in blog support is a safer and more up-to-date approach.

Up to now, had been posted updates about the platform, community, and general vision statements to http://maybethismatters.org/news/.
There are a number of drafts on the Wordpress system there, in a limbo state of being half-written but not at all reviewed or edited.
I'd like to open this up to much more transparency, perhaps by using Octopress to write the content right here on Github, so that anyone can help with writing and editing.
Can anyone think of any downsides to this?
