Abort on memory error rather than Warn #146

I would prefer it if Abort is not called. That way the user can get the statistic reports. I'll see if I can fix that.

ok, yeah getting statistics back is nice,

but editing the signature to cope with errors is pretty intrusive / creates more cascade changes, so I didn't want to go that direction. I'll wait for your patch.
