This is something that has been discussed before in a PR #4. At the moment this is not something that could be easily done as a Linux userspace is using so many different deployment strategies that it would be overwhelming. One idea could be for example use something that is not distribution specific (AppImage, Flatpak or Snap), but still there are too many options.
