I have a Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga 370 running Arch and Windows 10 (dual booting on the same drive). From the ArchWiki, python-validity should allow for the sensor to work.
But trying to enroll a finger gives me :
~/ fprintd-enrolllist_devices failed:
(even when running the command with sudo)
I figured that maybe the sensor needed a factory reset. After all, I've never used the fingerprint reader and it's almost been a year since I bought the laptop used.
But following the instructions given throws me an USB error :
Pastebin link
The sensor gets listed by lsusb tho :
Bus 001 Device 004: ID 138a:0097 Validity Sensors, Inc.
No specific error gets thrown in journalctl...
But now that I think of it, I tried using the sensor under Windows 10 (21H2) and it says that the fingerprint option cannot be enabled for now...

Maybe my sensor is just broken.
