Patient Priorities

Based on a conversation with Sarah, and the feedback gathered in the "Summary of Recommendations" document in the team drive.

This is a meta-issue to discuss features and track development progress. Not all of these will be implemented.

Priorities

• [ ] Reliable information about disease and treatment - reported a lack of reliable information, internet main info source

• [ ] Interactive communication: be able to ask questions as needed during treatment

• [ ] Exchange information / recommendations with other patients - e.g., patient forum or message board

• [ ] Track medication and progress ("My progress") (test strip reporting not really for them)

• [ ] Taking the test is not a problem, they don't mind doing it.

• [x] Test confirms that they've taken the drug in the last 24 hours

• [ ] Some had difficulty taking & uploading the image

• [ ] Automatically helps them take the image (e.g. QR codes)

• [x] Wanted a more streamlined option to report taking the medication

  • [ ] calendar (click on it, then confirm)
  • [x] 24-hour clock, or "now" button

• [x] Report side effects immediately after reporting medication

• [ ] Important to highlight that messages text or voice are NOT for emergencies and the center will respond only during the working day hours

• El uso diario solo debería ser para registrar la toma de medicación y recibir eventuales recordatorios si no registró la toma hasta una determinada hora de acuerdo a los horarios definidos por el paciente para su toma diaria

• Periódicamente, y si el paciente asi lo desea (y activa esta opción) recibirá mensajes explicativos o educativos

Eventualmente utilizará la aplicación para comunicar efectos adversos o enviar un mensaje al centro. En este caso podrá recibir mensajes de respuesta o directamente el llamado del case manager.

• [x] use nontechnical terms for side effects rather than rash → redness of the skin (enrojecimiento de la piel, granitos, picazón, etc)
• [ ] In addition to the message about automatic notification ‘would you like to send a message to your case worker with more info’ add the following notification:
  • Si Ud. esta teniendo problemas o no se siente bien tomando la medicación por favor envie un mensaje a su centro y alguien se comunicará con Ud. No tome de nuevo los remedios hasta que haya hablado con alguno de los miembros del equipo de salud.
• [ ] Si inicialmente será a través del envío de la foto del strip o la app tendrá la capacidad de interpretar la respuesta de color e informar el resultado
• [ ] Siempre reforzando la adherencia en forma positiva

• [ ] Idealmente la app debería poder interpretar y guardar el registro del test sin necesidad de que el paciente envíe la foto para que el case manager lo evalúe.
• [ ] Estos tests deberían ser periódicos y aleatorios, solicitando a los pacientes realizarlo en ese día. habrá que definir la frecuencia....
