I was having trouble with the flow of "what.tex", so I attempted a rewrite. I try to frame it around the two axes of existing events, and point out how having the pedagogy in a hacking space opens up unique opportunities. I think that better addresses the reviewer comment about how we differ from summer schools. Feel free to take or leave any of this.
