Thanks for the suggestion, although I'm not sure I agree -- we hope the repository as a whole might be useful to others (e.g. for the slide decks it contains, or as a starting point for a similar group elsewhere), and we also want to "advertise" the capabilities of GitHub for those coming to the page who might not be familiar with it, so I don't see the harm in keeping these links.
Now that the new escience webpages are live at http://escience.washington.edu/, we'll be reorganizing our various pages so we should think about this further. Other thoughts?
It appears that you re-built the whole website without download links (5583def4) :+1:
Just so you know, you kept the gh-pages
branch around although it's completely unused, which is a little confusing :wink:

This is not software so there is probably no sense having links to download the repository as a ZIP.
