@cd-github Thank you for your input.
Based on other responses it looks like schedules conflicts will be minimized with a 6:30pm - 7:00pm PST quiz window. I definitely do not want to make it any later because for the east coast students this window looks like 9:30pm - 10:00pm.
An announcement will be sent shortly.
See https://canvas.uw.edu/courses/1038251/discussion_topics/3286041 for the announcement on time changes for the quiz.
Hey Chris,
(Posting here due to your most recent announcement)
Sorry to be that guy but I can't make the current quiz times. I couldn't make the ones before that, either. I have a class from 430PM-650PM Mon and Weds that is required for me to graduate at the end of this quarter.
I could feasibly take the quizzes DURING class, but that might interfere with learning / exams in that class would be a problem.
Please advise. Thank you, --Roy Taylor
I too still have a bit of conflict; I work on a 2nd shift schedule, from 2 PM to 10 PM. I take lunch from 7:00 to 7:30 PM, so I might be able to take quizzes during that time...
Hi Chris. I appreciate the accommodation for the EDGE students. I travel quite a bit for work and will be on a plane during at least two of the quiz times (4/4 and 4/18). Can we make other arrangements?
Please see the most recent announcement regarding the change in quiz times. Hopefully this will work for everyone. The new times are shown in the syllabus.
Hi Chris,
I have classes and activities scheduled from 1:30pm-7:30pm on Mondays, so the new time still doesn't work well for me. Worst case, I could back out of the group activity I'm part of later in the day, but I'd much prefer not having to do that... A later time would work better for me, 8:30pm maybe? Or perhaps the quizzes could be available on weekends instead? Sundays or something? I wonder if Sunday during the current hours you set would work well for people?
While the current time does work for me, I do agree that weekends might be a good idea. Like Sunday evening. But some folks might be working then... Maybe send out a when 2 meet to see who has conflicts?

I hate to be "that guy" but with the 5PM Sun-5PM Mon quiz time it might be tough if we've got weekend plans that extend through Sunday evening and then have to go to our (especially EDGE folks) 9-5 jobs the next day. Having the time extend to 6-7 PM Monday night would be helpful.
@bplilley Good point.
New proposal: Sun 5pm - Tue 5am (36 hour period)
36 hour window sounds good with me!
To be fair that was a pretty creative April Fools. You really scared the crap out of me for a good twenty minutes.
@rktaylor I hope the class has a good sense of humor.
I rather liked that proposal actually

Hey Chris:
I have classes scheduled on every Monday/Wednesday from 5:30 - 6:30PM. So this updated time slot doesn't work for me. If there are more people with similar issue, would it be possible to change it again? Thank you!
