Permalink for Channels and their RPMs #7021

Short description

we would really gladly like to see permalinks for RPM Channels and each RPM included. They would really be helpful if we need to install software on a system that isn't linked to uyuni/suma (e.g. nessus agent).

I think nobody is working on this yet, but to be honest I don't understand the request myself.

Can you give more info about the use case, such as for your example about the nessus agent? I used Nessus in the past and IIRC the agent is just a system on a machine that should be onboarded to Uyuni/SUSE Manager?

@juliogonzalez sure!

When syncing external RPM repos into SUMA, they are accessable via https, but their individual URL seems to be generated dynamical and changed from time to time. I there was a way to get permalinks to SUMA channels and the RPMs they contain, we would be able to install those RPMs also on unmanaged SLES Systems. Nessus Agent RPM could be one of those packages.

So what I understand is that you want to use packages served by an Uyuni Server to systems that you don't want manage with Uyuni? Would that be the use case?

Additionally this feature would also be a great help to install RPMs on Systems that are in CLM stages waiting for their channels to be updated.
