It's free code. Please be polite. Not entitled. It will yield a better result.
Agreed that we should all remain professional, and no one is obligated to provide free code.
But I think @spencerfolk's concern is not about entitlement - rather it's that a paper was published claiming the contribution that this project has already been fully open-sourced, but half a year later it has not been released. In any case, I think the many likes above and the emotions surrounding this come from a place of enthusiasm about this work and its potential impact in the research community - I certainly feel that way!
Agreed, we are all very excited to get our hands on this code. I am happy to wait because I know this group will produce an excellent framework in the end, but as @jakewelde mentions, their paper published in June 2022 clearly indicates that Agilicious is already open source when 6 months later this is still not the case.
Not trying to be entitled, and sorry if it comes off that way, it's just important for the robotics community to hold itself accountable.
Be patient, it will be released
Can you please at least give an approximate date when you expect it to be released?
Hi guys, the code is now open for requests here: https://agilicious.readthedocs.io/en/latest/index.html
