Line 17 invokes:

attempt to call a nil value (global 'module')

Commenting it the module is loaded successfully but then calls to keychains.init result in

attempt to index a boolean value (local 'keychains')

Thanks for report.

I don't use awesome wm anymore (several years) so I don't develop this module. If you send a pull request I will merge it but I can't test it.
