Updates/details for the project for F generation Panasonic heat pumps #3

Hello, Fortunately I've found this project, would like to have a similar solution for gaining the operation data like in case of the H generation heat pumps. Could you please let me know which type of ESP8266 WiFi module do you use?

myfirstdatalogger commented 3 years ago

Nodemcu ESP8266. Can be this one, or maybe another, not sure. https://www.ebay.com/itm/NodeMcu-Lua-WIFI-Internet-Things-development-board-based-ESP8266-CP2102-module/201542946669

v-s-c-o-p-e commented 3 years ago

yes, i used an ordinary Nodemcu ESP8266 board.

Thank you Guys, I’ll order this and let you know if I have it.. I have checked your list you have decoded, it seems for me it shows the basic functions and data which can be set on the panel.. with this device can it show the temperature data on the evaporator, condenser and the bypass branch of the subcooler, the power consumption of the fans/compressor, the state of the valves etc. additionally? Would be fantastic to see each data in a continuous report during the operation..

horyzeli commented 3 years ago

I’ve asked the Panasonic service department what can be done with the statistics and trends, they have offered me the Intesis platform which provides WiFi capability, but this is only for remote operation and doesn’t show the detailed reports, therefore it’s useless for me

Hi, I'm very interested in reading and controlling F-series Panasonic HeatPump. Did You done some progress in decoding it's protocol? Maybe have You links to other sources where someone tried to decode protocol of F-Series?

horyzeli commented 2 years ago

Hi,

I was also very interested in this project, however I haven’t found better resources or solutions for the control of the heat pump, so finally I’ve bought the Heat Pump Manager (HPM) for F series 😊

It took some days when I got through the descriptions, they’re very detailed.

This Heat Pump Manager can take the full control on the Heat Pump and the data can be viewed on the screen of the HPM. I’ve bought the special cable too which is necessary for the communication between the F series heat pump and the HPM, additionally one room sensor and two other sensors for the buffer tank and the outdoor air in order to have more inputs for the HPM.

Since then we’ve sold the house last month where this heat pump was installed, therefore I’m no longer the owner of that heat pump, but I have the Heat Pump Manager left with me, currently in its box which I’m going to sell soon…if you’re interested.

Hello,

I found this project, because I failed to connect HeishaMon to F series. I omitted info that, it is for H series.

Since I have got PCB for CN-NMODE created and after connection I saw some data on lines, I investigated it more deeply. I turned out that on this connector there is ASCII data stream with formatting. Started on putty or netcat, creates something like table with few status information from heatpump. Additionally, I found out that sending ASCII coded 2 bytes HEX address (e.g 1f1f), will print value of it in last 2 rows. Information are quite simple to decode, values are in HEX. image

I'm wondering if anyone tried or know what can be done via CN-NMODE in F series. Tx/Rx lines are shorted with not populated CN-CNT, like in H series. Maybe someone knows for which purpose NMODE connector exists. Intesis solutions for F series is similar to this project, so maybe this port is only read only with ability to print internal address when requested. I cannot find anything about connecting to NMODE in F series. I only found one remark for AC units that for similar connector, something like remote controller is connected. I'm not sure if this is valuable info for our heatpumps. I will appreciate any info.

Hi, Could you please explain how to repeat your tests? @horyzeli Where did you buy Heat Pump Manager (HPM) for F series? I have IDU: wh-sxc09f3e8

@isobolewski I bought it from the same company from where I bought the heat pump as well. It was the only piece at them at that time and I bought the last one from their storage. I haven't sold it yet, waiting for someone real heat pump fun who may need it and who can make the programming. I have the special cable as well which is required to connect the Heat Pump Manager with the F generation Heat Pump and the room temperature sensor which was suggested to the HPM so I have the full equipment with the paper descriptions to make connection with the heat pump. I additionally bought two sensors, one for the buffer tank, one for the external temperature, in order to make the Heat Pump Manager as clever as possible. I tried it and it was working. I see you're from Czech Republic, I'm from Budapest, Hungary, if you're interested

@horyzeli Thanks for your message and sorry for the late answer - was lately very busy with other stuff. Yes I am located in Czechia. Do you still have the items?

horyzeli commented 10 months ago

@isobolewski Yes, I still have them

isobolewski commented 10 months ago

@isobolewski Yes, I still have them

@horyzeli Are you willing to sell them, is there a possibility to write you a private message (email, etc.)?

horyzeli commented 10 months ago

@isobolewski Yes, this is my e-mail address: horyzeli@ gmail.com, drop me a message there and we can discuss the details ;-)
