Shift and alt keys SOMETIMES don't work #420

# What steps will reproduce the problem?

1. Open a local session.
2. Attempt to enter an upper-case letter using the hardware keyboard.

# What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

The cursor should change shape when the shift or alt keys are pressed, but
sometimes it does not.

# What version of the product are you using (you can see this by using Menu ->
About in the Host List)?

1.7.1 on original Motorola Droid.

# What type of system are you trying to connect to?

Local, but happens on any target.

# Please provide any additional information below.

1. The shift and alt keys ALWAYS work as expected in the hostname field.

2. When the problem occurs, it persists in all target hosts. Killing
ConnectBot and restarting it usually solves the problem.

I have this same problem - they always work in the hostname/password field, but
sometimes don't work once connected. When they don't work, the cursor does not
change and they do not function.

I am also using the latest version on an original Motorola Droid. As the OP
mentions, killing and restarting ConnectBot usually resolves the problem.

I see this problem too on my Droid sometimes, but I can fix it by
closing/opening the hardware keyboard, and then everything works.
