What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Start an SSH session with an host that needs a password
2. Using android 3 screens switch, go to keepassdroid password safe
3. Select the appropriate (probably very complex) password and copy it to
clipboard
4. Using android 3 screens switch, go back to connectbot, which still waits for
the password
5. You cannot paste the password, neither from the menu nor from long press
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I would expect to be able to paste the password from the clipboard. My
passwords are very long complex random strings that cannot be remembered. Using
a tool like keepassdroid to save them securely and being able to copy them to
clipboard so they can be paste back is a major security feature for me.
Note that once I am logged in (i.e. after password prompt), pasting passwords
to the terminal does work (for example when I log to a remote host using a
regular user account and su to root afterwards, still using keepassdroid for
copy/paste. What doesn't work is pasting at the initial prompt when opening the
SSH session.
What version of the product are you using (you can see this by using Menu
-> About in the Host List)?
Connectbot-git-tablet-2011-09-06_04-01-34.apk
What type of system are you trying to connect to?
Router running OpenWRT backfire RC5
If you are able to connect, what is the output of "echo $TERM", "uname -a",
and any other relevant information on the host?
Please provide any additional information below.
