Consolidate separate versions of tandem songs into a single file #75

In some cases, the ISB has lyrics of tandem versions of songs in the same file, e.g., barakhaa raanii / barakhaa bairan. In other cases, they are in two separate files, e.g., churaa le na tumako / yuu.N hii dil ne chaahaa thaa.

The giitaayan czar, Vinay P Jain, has decreed that consolidated files is the way to go. Rather than have the end-user look through two (or more!) files to find the entire lyrics of all versions, it would be better to have all the related lyrics in one source file. (Personally, I agree.)

It will take some doing, and perhaps instead of this global issue, issues should be filed song-by-song. But I'm putting this up here as a reminder for best practices. The separate song-by-song issues can be linked to this one as related issues.

I don't know when this issue will be closed? I don't foresee anybody going through all 20,000+ songs in the ISB looking for tandems. (And one needs local knowledge, e.g., from the \stitles alone it's hard to peg churaa le na and yuu.N hii dil ne as tandems.)

There's also the question of what to do about the song IDs of the redundant files, e.g., #1965 in the above example.

One point to note is that if the song is actually from a different movie (e.g.: the Indian and Pakistani versions of na ye chaa.Nd hogaa; Ashok Kumar and Kishore's versions of koii hamadam na rahaa; the solo and duet versions of baaT chalat na_ii chunarii ra.ng Daarii; the Lata and Suman-Kamal Barot versions of garajat barasat), the clobbered pStats would probably be best handled by keeping the files separate.
