Make plugin error messages more user friendly #389

Reported by John Ahlroos on 16 Sep 2011 06:15 UTC The error handling of the plugin was improved in #2938 ( [8843]) but the error messages produced are hard to interpret by someone new to Vaadin.

Instead of just saying what went wrong, the error messages should convey possible reasons why it went wrong and, if any, solutions to resolve the issue. For instance, many users behind proxies are reporting issues but none of the error messages are hinting that the error might be caused by the proxy so the user could investigate further.
