Where to have technical discussion about nim-libp2p? #1011

Hello!

My name is Dave and I'm working on libp2p community improvements. Over the last few months the other libp2p implementations have been turning on GH Discussions as a place for contributors and users to ask technical questions. I have been sending PR's to each implementation repo to set up the "new issue" template to include links to the GH discussion forums for technical questions related to the implementation and a link to the community-wide libp2p discussions at https://discuss.libp2p.io.

The swift-libp2p implementation just recently enabled GH discussion: https://github.com/swift-libp2p/swift-libp2p/discussions

I just landed a PR for their new issue template: https://github.com/swift-libp2p/swift-libp2p/issues/new/choose

Will you please consider enabling GH Discussions for this repo?

Hi :). Sorry for the late reply here. Currently, we are mainly using Discord, Github (issues), and the Vac forum https://forum.vac.dev/ for discussions around everything Vac (https://vac.dev/) related.

The nim-libp2p team is now part of Vac (which in turn is part of the IFT / Status / Logos org), so we are planning to move this repo to https://github.com/vacp2p/ Since we have to sync this move with stakeholders, this might take a bit. We will consider enabling Discussions when we do this move.

@kaiserd thanks for the update. All of that is fine. I've been making the "New Issue" template for all of the libp2p implementation repos as similar as possible. May I send you a PR to set that up with links to the Discord, Vac forum (for nim-libp2p specific questions) and the libp2p Discourse forum (for libp2p community-wide discussions)? That way you can keep things as they are and the "New Issue" template points people to the correct places.
