create a copy of all the player ships and allow the player to upgrade without cost. this probably does mean I will have to build in upgrade caps though >.>
I think I would like to try experimenting with a right click menu, just for shits n giggles.
also, player should always have max mercenaries available in skirmish to try them out. probably max out rockets/repair kits too.
not sure if I'll bother with trying out store items. probably not because pain in the ass.
