I haven't tested anything. Is it possible to do so? Steam tends to have issues with file adjustment - can I just stick them in the folder and it'll work? There's been no non-steam release to my knowledge, probably due to bandwidth issues. I presume I'll have to disable auto-update first?
If I can just swap out the files without steam throwing a shitfit I'll copy my github directory and go through and make sure that everything works correctly.
Fuck it, I'll just check myself actually so I can give you a yes answer or fix my mistake, whichever it is.
There's problems, will fix (unsurprising).
you can check what code does in the console. apart from that, you can overwrite the .rpy files in the steam version just fine. auto updates would probably wreck it, but you can copy the game folder to a different location on disk for messing-around purposes.
Yeah, my main experience with steam was XCOM and that if I remember correctly required a hack to get it to work, although that's probably due to DRM or something which I imagine isn't a concern here.
Fantastic, fixed the issue with it and got it to work (had to spread it out across multiple lines) among other issues. That took me far too long. Dumb mistakes, but I can test things now so fantastic.
Can confirm that the game runs at least and the battleship mission I believe applies the debuffs correctly, and the vanguard properly shows range when upgrading both in tooltip and grid. Will do some more checking to make sure I haven't cocked something up horribly, as I tend to do.
looks fine now :)
Hopefully shit is less screwed up this time.
