[OOT] can use maps data on commercial projects? #329

Hi, this is off topic.
If I downloaded some maps of certain town, maybe from googlemap or yahoomap, 
and paid someone to create an offline application (kind of similar to 
gmapcatcher) for the maps data, and then sell the application (along with the 
town map) to people of that town locally, do I break some law or something?

Is there any copyright or disclaimer on the net that I can review?

You might want to steer clear of google, see Issue 210.
