I work on SmartOS nearly full-time and stumbled upon this project recently. This is great work. I've set aside the afternoon to see what state this project is in. There are a few features I've noticed that aren't included yet (according to your README). I'll see if I can get some of those working. Either way, I might have a few more pull requests shortly.
