constraints: materials, physics, budget user or the customer is central to the design product can be physical or virtual

PRODUCT DESIGN Questions

don't reinvent the design of the product
use the existing design as the starting point
maintain feasibility and practicality

4 PARAMETERS TO KEEP IN MIND

function: is it solving the main problem?
ergonomics: easy to handle/ understand
form: aesthetic adhering to the function
manufacturing: material, cost, process

all above parameters in check, creates a the best solution nobody can deny!

PRESENTATION of product: utilization of paper space

composition and drawing skills

50% idea and effort; 50% presentation

good presentation is the key

GOOD presentation: easy for the eyes, easy on the mind

they get it right away with minimal effort
make the examiner's job easy, better comprehend and appreciate ideas
STEAL LIKE AN ARTIST: get inspiration for product presentation, build templates in your head

showcase various angles along with the main drawing

YOU HAVE ABOUT 15 mins to FINISH ANSWER

brainstorming and decision and settling for an idea
planning to present the idea scribbles
drawing the construction of the sketch (hard pencil)
finalizing the sketch, line drawing, and adding details (bold pencil)
prettify: shading, colors,

all this should happen in a limited time, can't finish it if not in a flow state

HAVING templates will significantly help do things faster

templates are built by good inspiration and deliberate practice
