I'll have a look at those warnings.
Despite current Arch Linux i686 (which is where I'm developing on), 859acb2237008dea479bc9c2d50f4d0735d62616 also builds and runs fine on the following i686 systems:
0.2.1 still works on FreeBSD 8.1 i386, has been reported to work on Gentoo i386 and x86_64, and I can now confirm that it works on Arch Linux x86_64 as well.
I think I can close this issue.
I've used pdfPres on my 64-bit Ubuntu machine with gcc-4.4.3. It builds and runs without error. FYI: If I add -Wextra to CFLAGS, there are two comparison between signed and unsigned integer warnings that you may be interested in.
Thank you for writing this software, I used it on Tuesday (before you added xml notes support), and it was great.
