Thank you for the contribution and my apologies for not getting back to you sooner. The plugin looks great - I will have a deeper look and will merge it in ASAP.
How is v4 going? I know that there were a couple of plugins that needed to be made compatible.
The published branch of version 4 is 8 months old, so I assume that there are commits that haven't been merged yet?
@vakata, hope you're doing well. We are really looking forward to the v4. I hope you haven't abandoned the project. I'll be happy to sponsor and add my contribution to this great plugin!

I did start to sponsor, but stopped due to the silence.
Vakata told me that he had to take some time off after a cycling accident, but told me a few months ago that he is getting better now. Hope he is well.
@chetanchopra26 - as @jplevene said - I haven't had enough time to push the project forward. I tried treating it as a paid job and therefore set a goal to find sponsors for $100 a month as a start. This is very little (relative to the effort required and my usual rate), but would indicate there is some interest in pushing the project forward. Unfortunately, I failed to reach that goal even with @jplevene's generous contributions, for which I am grateful. I managed to get the current branch (v3) up to date, and get the repo in order and my resources ran out. I hope to find more time soon, but I can't promise anything. The best I can usually do is fix and close all tickets and reply to the discussion threads (once or twice a month). I've had some breathing room at my job and am no longer working ridiculous amounts of overtime, so I hope I will get back to v.4, but as I said - I don't want to make any more promises I can't keep. (Once again sorry to @jplevene for disappointing).

If you do get time again, please contact me and I will sponsor again, and hopefully others will as well.

Happy to sponsor $100 per month if you get time to work on it. Thanks for the update and really looking forward to see jsTree growing!

One more thought but it's definitely your decision. Release v4 as a one-time paid license. People will be happy to pay for this awesome plugin! You should be earning for all your work. Let me know if you need any help!
Hi, I tried a POC of how to contribute. I made the checkbox plugin working. I did not considered the following options: includeHidden : true, includeDisabled : true but the cascade ones are working.
