I'd like to request something like many other image deduplicators already do, (for instance SimilarImages) which shows colored red/green text when the picture is smaller, has smaller resolution or is newer, so it's makes easier to see which one is the worse duplicate at a glance.

For instance:

Certainly, I'll definitely implement this.

Excellent! That was quick.

I would argue that... does newer equals better? To me, newer means a copy, a duplicate. What do you think?

When discussing duplicates or copies of digital content, the situation becomes specific. A newer file could be a duplicate created by a backup process, download, or a content transfer between devices. In such cases, "newer" doesn't inherently mean "better." Instead, the quality and utility of the file depend on factors such as:

Moreover, in creative and cultural contexts, newer doesn't automatically mean better. Historical artifacts, original editions of books, or vintage fashion pieces often hold more value and appeal than their contemporary counterparts due to their authenticity, craftsmanship, and historical significance.

In summary, while newer versions or copies can offer advantages such as improved features or better compatibility, the assessment of whether newer is better requires a careful consideration of quality, context, and personal or project-specific needs. Especially in the case of duplicates, the decision between newer and older versions often hinges on specific attributes rather than the creation date alone.

Did you just ChatGPT me? I do not care for GPT's opinion, I wanted to know what do YOU think:

Newer: Green or Red?
