Progress bar causes application to crash on windows 7 #10

The program will fail if you try to run it in it's current state on Windows
7.  The only option may be to create a second distribution for Windows 7
without the progress dialog.

Interestingly, this is not an issue on all Windows 7 machines.  My work 
machines runs
it fine, but my home computer fails.
