"Disable navigation bar" and "Hide Search bar completely" options are not working as expected #2559

ExplorerPatcher v22621.2428.59.1 Repro Steps:

  1. Deploy OS to the System and patch with Windows Update.
  2. Install the application.
  3. Launch the properties of explorer patcher.
  4. Enable both the option “Disable navigation bar" and "Hide Search bar completely".
  5. Restart file explorer.
  6. Observe.

Actual Results: "Disable navigation bar" and "Hide Search bar completely" options are not working as expected.

Please post windows version and build. You can find this by running winver. Please post explorer patcher version after you have updated.

Please include what settings you changed in explorer patcher properties application.

Changes made in explorer patcher properties: Enable both the option “Disable navigation bar" and "Hide Search bar completely".

Hi,

I am actually having the same problem. I am using the latest pre-release of 22621.3880.66.6 but on Windows 11 it does not hide the search bar from explorer. Windows 10 it works fine.

Is this a known issue or does this setting need to be used in conjunction with another.

I have also tried it with and without the shell extension but from my understanding that should only apply to the dialog boxes.
