I'm not involved in the project anymore, but i see contributions incoming from time to time, which is great !
I just realized I had forgotten about some docs I wrote back in the day that might help current and future contributors understand what, why and how we wrote koala, and that these documents were hiding in a local branch of mine...
So here they are.
I believe this is still relevant, even if some info might be slightly off due to recent work on the project. From what I could see, it should be fine though.
Of course, feel free to correct anything you find weird.
