Invoices, discounts #301

At some point we need to generate invoices from orders. Include overall discount. Also tax, shipping/handling.

This would be a nice feature. We had a log of discussions in the past about using the Value Equation feature on the NRP, and abandon the spreadsheet version. Here's a specific case, the Sensor Network project of SENSORICA.

This is the link to the project http://www.sensorica.co/home/what-we-do/projects/sensor-network-project

This is the link to the spreadsheet-based value equation https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1ezjVX4-tWY8ptOIyjGzpw_0xGqNgCW3aH5q-7nxLHrw/edit#gid=162995459

We use the Value Equation spreadsheet to calculate distribution, but also to calculate how much the sponsor of this project should pay sensoricans for the work done. In order to calculate the total amount we would have to extract the contributions data from the NRP, put it in a spreadsheet, calculate the total, get the amount and use that to make the distribution using a NRP-based value equation. But once a spreadsheet is made, the work of extracting the data from the NRP and pasting it into the spreadsheet to calculate the total amount can also get you the redistribution, the spreadsheet can do all that for you at once. In fact, the same spreadsheet can also calculate many other things, which can be used for reporting. One example from the same project it this, which uses data from the same Value Equation spreadsheet linked above http://www.sensorica.co/home/what-we-do/projects/sensor-network-project/sensor-network-project-vas/sensor-networks-analytics

So this is a situation where the client pays according to the value equation calculations for work done? As opposed to a price for a service? Would being able to print the results of the distribution be the right level? Or a lower level of detail? I'm picturing attaching this to an invoice created in a standard way (from a sale type exchange), does this make sense?
