How do we build this module from source and link to local project node_modules folder if we need to make any modifications.

Hi. It was fixed some bugs in that fork: https://github.com/optimistex/ng2-select-ex Try it. If even after trying the fork you have a problem. Make detail issue and I'll try to fix it. If you decide to add some code from then use the commands:

npm run demo.serve - build the package and run the demo
ng test - run all tests The rest commands is there: package.json >> script:

After build you will be able:

Add the component to another project by npm install /path/to/ngx-select-ex/dist.
Or link another project to the component npm link /path/to/ngx-select-ex/dist. Warning! Then use the flag --preserve-symlinks
Or make a pull request to the ngx-select-ex
