Feature Request: MONO button #8

Closed RealRaven2000 closed 5 years ago

Having different volume levels per tab is highly valuable - but for us headphone users we frequentlyt have the problem of a podcast where either one channel is ommitted or has 2 speakers with separate mics that are panned way to hard. A mono button or stereo width dial would be super useful here.

A mono button will be available in the 1.1.0 update after it gets reviewed :)

That's excellent news!! :)

Does the mono button essentially mix everything into one mono output stream? Asking because I'm deaf in one ear and that would make this a very useful add-on for me

Nice one - I didn't even know this was updated. At the moment I am using Pedalboard2 through a couple of VST plugins, a chain which has Ozone 9 Advanced in it just before hitting ARC3 room correction; Ozone has a number of listening modes including R-L swap and MONO. I know that's overkill for average users but essential when producing music and listening to references from browser or Spotify.

@JobLeonard yes! (what else would it do? :D) It sets destination.channelCount = 1.

Well, just for the record, in the past I had a few bad experiences where software would just put either the left or the right channel on both sides instead of mixing them.
