Hi,

on your start page on google code you state that you are using "GNU GPL v2".
However on the Deviantart page for your tileset it is said that the tileset may
not be used for commercial games.

There are two options now:
- State that the graphics are not under GNU GPL v2.
- Or if the uploader who created the tileset uploaded the tileset himself you
don't need to do anything, because it is now under GNU GPL v2.

I wanted to use the graphics in a commercial RPG project (ad supported), and
luckily I looked at the Deviantart Page.

Greeting,

Tim

Most of the graphical resources are licensed under a CC sharealike license, as
stated on their corresponding pages on devart that we link to. Some are CC or
GPL in their original form, but some are not, and we have gotten explicit
written approval from the author(s) to use them to this project.

the core tileset is sourced from the wrong author, the guy on dev art ripped
those from somewhere else, he has no right to grant permission. the real
authors are in japan and do release them for use.

The license in-game is correct:
http://code.google.com/p/andors-trail/source/browse/trunk/AndorsTrail/res/values
/strings.xml
(look for "about_contents2")

Good point about the project page though. I have now written a wiki page to
explain the license with regards to the graphical resources used in the game,
to clarify this.

http://code.google.com/p/andors-trail/wiki/License

I also updated the startpage to link to the license.

I'm glad to hear you wanted to reuse parts of the game for your commercial
project. Would be interesting to see the GPL parts that you publish!

Thanks for the report.
