Use HGPLAIN environment variable for internal invocations #12

I might have missed other internal invocations?

I did not know about this env var! Should we just use it for commands that its output does not reach the display? If so, I think you got them all covered (only the log function).

Yes, basically it's for a more robust (and almost always faster) output for scripting.
