Construct 1D interior structure models based on planetary properties. Self-consistent thermodynamics are used for fluid, rock, and mineral phases. Sound speeds, attenuation, and electrical conductivities are computed as outputs.
Heat transfer through the ice is based on parameterizations from numerical experiments, and should be updated as new relevant results become available.
Recent work by Harel et al. (2020) proposes updated and more accurate parameterization for ice I in icy worlds. I haven't read the paper in detail; it may apply primarily to thinner ice shells. For thicker stagnant shells---mainly Callisto---the recent work by Deschamps (2022) should also be evaluated.
