Created unique identifiers (person_id) that consist of

• country three letter code
• last two digets of year - underscore
• id from dta file (uniq_id, idum, obsid, respnum, XXidnum, idnum, idnum_14, or idnum_idnum14)
• underscore
• row number

There is one duplicate value because there is one duplicate file? (per_2017_cy_spa-eng_p_v1-0.dta and per_2017_cy_spa-eng_p_v1-1.dta)

dta files that must be excluded --- bra_2007_cy_por_p_v5.dta col_2009_cy_spa_p_v1.dta col_2011_cy_spa_p_v1.dta col_2011_cy_spa_p.dta guy_2008_cy_eng_p_v3.dta hti_2012_cy_eng_p_v1.dta hti_2014_cy_spa-eng_p_v3-0.dta ury_2007_cy_spa_p.dta ven_2007_cy_spa_p.dta
