Wow this is a very nice homework. Thanks for sharing. To be honest, I do not have a solid background in statistics or programming so when I stumble upon such well-done assignments I do not know what to say. First of all, your Readme file is very organised and good looking. Your homework is explained very well and I appreciate all the comments between the code lines explaining what they do. Your tables are indeed very nice, I will take a look of the kableExtra package. Thanks for adding the sources where you got information to troubleshoot and use new functions. I'm very impressed, good work!!

Wow this is an impressive amount of work! It's a super polished assignment, and you’ve clearly mastered factors. A couple of comments below:

• I really liked how well organized your README, it described your workflow very well.
• 1st script: Great use of forcats. Would it have been possible to rearrange the data using arrange? Maybe something like: gapminder %>% mutate(continent = continent, levels = new levels)) %>% arrange(continent)
• 2nd script: I liked how the dataframe created in the first file fed into this one. Again instead of a loop could you have nested the dataframe by continent, and then map() to run a linear model function over the nested data? Then you could use tidy to extract the coefficients and unnest.
• Your ggplots are awesome. I liked how you used multiple plots to show the life expectancy over trend within continents. And such nice kables! I’ll definitely refer back to your code.
• A note on your question about cleaning up your folder in R: @swynes used file.remove() to remove files with the R script
• Nice simple R source file.

Hi @vanflad! Here are some comments about your hw07:

• Your first file is missing a download statement (required even though you are using gapminder!)
• I would recommend against calling your R files things like “hw07-2.R”. It is good that you numbered them, but you should use a file name that is informative of what that step does. For example: “01_exploratory.R”
• Your exploratory analysis looks good. You produced a couple nice plots and were able to successfully reorder the factor levels and rows. I would generally advise against reordering with a loop though, you can accomplish the same or a similar result with arrange and/or sort
• Your statistical analysis also looks fine, although it isn’t really clear what the blue lines represent at first. You should probably mention it somewhere. It looks like this is the overall linear regression line for each continent.
• Make sure to include some cleanup in your pipeline. I noticed in your troubleshooting you had some issues with this. Since your pipeline is done with an R script, you should use the file.remove() function as shown here
