Blocks disappear after adding a user control

Product & Version Vanjaro V1.4 DNN 9.10.2

Describe the bug I have a custom code that embeds our google reviews. The reviews display fine on a Vanjaro page. But then when I go to edit the page -- the blocks have disappeared. I can't go into naviagation etc ... just hangs.
