Title

Adding Sorbet to a Rails App 🍧 (Revenge of the Nil 🔪)

Abstract

Sorbet is a type-checker for Ruby originally written by Stripe and now used by Shopify, Flexport and others. It can bring the power and confidence of an expressive type system into your Rails app. It also brings in a fast-changing and sometimes unstable ecosystem of tools. This talk is a quick tour of the highs and lows of my experience adding Sorbet to a mature Rails app.
