Hi @romanr the logic around this ends up being not as straight forward as you would hope. I will take a look at why these are being marked this way.
This appears to be an error (or lack of data) on the rds console.
In the docs at https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AmazonRDS/latest/UserGuide/Concepts.DBInstanceClass.html , the db.m6gd instances are correctly noted as having NVME SSDs:
@romanr as far as I can tell these are in fact NVME backed.
The m6gd.xlarge shown as having the NVME storage
While in reality it doesn't:
And I thought this page updates automatically from some AWS API?
You could be making decisions based on incorrect data. This kind of destroys credibility and usefulness of it.
