I found that Todo in the syslog-mode.el. But I don't understand what exactly should be done. Could you please explain? I would like to contribute.

That todo comment was not made by me, but I think he wanted to create separate variables for each different face. I don't think it is important to do that. More important is statistical reporting as mentioned in the todo at the top of the file.
