@alexejknaus I've never seen colons as separators and especially with HPO terms this is not feasible, but it would also break the gene panels or hgnc ids. I drop that from the wish list and go with all whitespaces, comma and semicolon. HPO terms already accepted whitespaces and colons. For gene regions I do not change the current settings as we allow commas in the numbers.
Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. It's a usability request: Currently in "Gene Lists and Regions", the only accepted separators are: spaces or line break However, many users have lists of genes separated by semicolon, colon, tab delimited, etc.
In the HPO list only semicolon separated HPO:IDs are accepted. Although space and line breaks are commonly used by some users.
Describe the solution you'd like Varfish should accept any type of separator for a list of genes and HPO terms, respecitvely.
Describe alternatives you've considered I had to tell people to read the instructions before pasting lists into the gene list box, or HPO term box
