Full freeze at post-loader gui hourglass with d2x-v9-beta(r49) set as load cios at boot. #39

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. install d2x-v9-beta(r49) as 246,247,248,249,250,251,...
2. boot postloader 1st time ok; everything operates normally.
3. enhance compatibility with a number of games by going to advanced and
selecting load cios at boot, exit the screen (just restarting seems to revert
the setting?...) then restart.
4. on boot with usb and sd drive plugged in like normal the system fully
freezes. Until you remove the usb at boot.

This problem can be replicated on many systems.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
normal boot operation

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
postloader.4.b34.zip postloader.4.b32.zip , ... as far back as the release of
d2x-v9

Please provide any additional information below.
I have attempted reverting back tp d2x-v8 and everything is fine in this
condition. I also find it strange how I am the first or at least can't seem to
find any information on this.

Yes, this is a known issue. The bad I've not yet a solution.

Anyway there is no reason to use 249 in postLoader. Maybe this is something
that will be removed soon.

I would keep it if i were you, some folks want to use alternate ios.
My suggestion is to remove the option to use 249 instead and replace it with a
alternate ios list, this way everyone is happy :3.

postLoader is intended to run in ios58. Removing support for 249, doesn't mean
that you can't run channels or games in 249 (or whatever ios you want)

Support for 249 was added as in very old versions, postloader was enabling nand
emulation to browse emu-channels. This way is used no more.

That is true, but my thought was if someone would prefer a custom (c)ios that
supports curtain usb/sd/anything better, he would want to change the ios the
system uses.

Btw, hope your not completely removing support, as if no alternate ios can be
used, then it should atleast fallback to something if it cannot find ios58.
