How did you install it? Using these commands or somehow else - https://software.manjaro.org/package/variety ? Someone with more Manjaro know-how will have to help you install it properly so that all dependencies are installed as well.

Keeping this open for some time in case there is some general problem with the Manjaro package. If anyone reading this can confirm the Manjaro package works for them, or if anyone else experiences the same problem, please write here.
